Hello and welcome! Today, I'm excited to take you behind the scenes of Rachael and Danny's wedding at the Park Royal Hotel in Warrington. From the moment I arrived to set up my piano to the final sing-alongs of the evening, it was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
Setting the Stage
As I arrived nice and early to set up, I couldn't help but admire the beauty of the ceremony room; it was the perfect backdrop for Rachael and Danny's special day. With my piano set up and ready to go, I eagerly awaited the arrival of the guests.
Rachael's Grand Entrance
As Rachael made her grand entrance, I played "Firestone" by Kygo as her chosen entrance music. However, as her bridesmaids walked in, I had to think on my feet and adjust the arrangement in real-time to ensure Rachael walked in on the chorus. It was a moment of pure magic as she made her way to the front of the room, and I quickly wrapped up the music to transition smoothly to the signing of the register and the exit music.
The Drinks Reception
After the ceremony, we moved to the drinks reception where I entertained guests with a mix of classy tunes and upbeat favourites. Starting off with Etta James' "At Last” and some other classics, I set the mood before kicking it up a notch with "The Bare Necessities." Rachael and Danny wanted the music to be lively throughout, so I made sure to keep the energy high and the party going.
The Wedding Breakfast
Back at the wedding breakfast, the fun continued with a mix of great tunes chosen by Rachael and Danny. From new requests to songs from my repertoire, the music was upbeat and in line with the vibe they were going for. We even had a sing-along, belting out tunes from Oasis to Queen to Neil Diamond! It was a true celebration of love and joy, and I was honoured to be a part of it.
