Hello and welcome to another enchanting wedding journey! This week, I had the pleasure of attending Abbi and Jordan's wedding at the picturesque Broadoaks Country House in Lake Windermere. As their wedding pianist, I was entrusted with providing the perfect musical backdrop for their special day, and what a day it was!
Love in the Air: A Personalized Entrance
Abbi and Jordan's love story began at Broadoaks Country House, where they tied the knot surrounded by family and friends. They opted for my ‘Diamond’ package, ensuring that music accompanied every moment of their celebration. Abbi made her grand entrance down the aisle to a heartfelt arrangement of "Love" by Kendrick Lamar, an arrangement she had discovered on YouTube and fallen in love with. It was a joy to recreate this special moment for her and Jordan, infusing it with the perfect blend of romance and emotion.

A Playlist for Every Taste: From Mariah Carey to Tyler, the Creator
Throughout the ceremony, Abbi and Jordan incorporated songs that reflected their eclectic musical tastes. From Mariah Carey's "Fantasy" to Tyler, the Creator's "Earfquake," each song added a unique touch to their special day. As they signed the register, surrounded by love and laughter, the music served as a soundtrack to their journey into married life. And as they exited as newlyweds to the lively tune of "I'm a Believer," the room erupted in raucous applause, setting the stage for a day filled with joy and celebration.

As the ceremony concluded, we transitioned to the drinks reception, where a glorious old grand piano awaited us. Despite its age (dating back to 1890!), the piano sounded great and we kicked things up a gear. Drawing inspiration from Abbi and Jordan's favourite artists, including Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole, I curated a playlist that catered to guests of all ages, ensuring that everyone found a song to dance and sing along to.
From Ceremony to Celebration: Sing-Alongs and Sweet Moments
The festivities continued as we moved to the wedding breakfast, where Abbi and Jordan were greeted with another round of applause and cheers. I then played a couple of requests from guests, along with some more favourites of Abbi and Jordans, before finishing with some singalong anthems as the guests were in fine voice!
